AIDS Vancouver's first community forum brought Paul Popham of the Gay Men's Health Crisis in NYC and was attended by many including, 'Patient Zero', Gaetan Dugas.

Three Cherry Trees were planted in Stanley Park in honour of some of the first few individuals who died of AIDS-related illnesses in Vancouver.

Our community recognized early on the importance of a consumer-based organizations by and for people living with AIDS.

Alan Herbert, former Chair of the Board of Directors speaks to funding AIDS Vancouver in a time of crisis.
