Dr. Peter Jepson-Young dies on November 1992, at the age of 35. The Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation was established by Dr. Peter Jepson-Young just prior to his death.

BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS begins operations at St. Paul's Hospital. The Centre is dedicated to improving the health of British Columbians with HIV through the development, ongoing monitoring and dissemination of comprehensive research and treatment programs for HIV and related diseases.

AIDS Vancouver and Vancouver's Persons With AIDS Society (Positive Living BC) joins under one umbrella society, and under one roof, calling it the Pacific AIDS Resource Centre

Prison Outreach program is established by Vancouvers Persons With AIDS Society (Positive Living BC), The Prison Outreach Program (POP) offers inmates living with HIV one-on-one support, outreach visits, advocacy, pre-release planning and post-release support.

National

Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is established.

Ontario's Ministry of Health establishes anonymous HIV-testing sites.

Canadian AIDS Society and its partners launches the AIDS Treatment Information System.

FDA introduces a 10 minute test that detects HIV-1.

International Community for Women Living with HIV/AIDS is founded

The 8th International AIDS Conference scheduled to be held in Boston, moves to Amsterdam, due to U.S. entry restrictions on people living with HIV/AIDS.
